Most of the time, we use fashion as a statement to express ourselves, showcasing our individuality and personality. But what if the objective is not to stand out but rather to seamlessly blend into society and become one with environment?
In nature, when flock species are unrelated, they still seem to converge on the same appearance, as if trying to fit in.This phenomenon relates to the predator’s ability to isolate a target. When there are a bunch of birds moving around, it may be easier for predators to identify an individual that has a distinct colour pattern.
Embracing the concept that unrelated birds find safety in collective obscurity, where they mimic behaviours and visual performances, can fashion help us feel harmony with our surroundings? Sometimes the feeling that you are a part of something bigger makes you feel peaceful, comfortable and confident.
This Idea already exists in camouflage clothing, but in this outfit, no matter where you go- if you are with a human collective or in a flower field - the outfit adjusted to its location. This variable will have the ability to dynamically change colours, patterns, thickness, shape and material seamlessly adapting to the surrounding environment.
This outfit seeks to redefine the relationship between fashion, environment, and communities.
By embracing the potential of dynamic clothes, this project aims to create a harmonious synthesis between sharing a bond and environmental integration, challenging conventional notions of fashion and fostering a deeper connection with the world around us.
